Reading Sikhi Camp 2013


Reading Singh Sabha Gurdwara is holding it's third Sikhi Camp on Friday 31st May and Saturday 1st June. Organised by the youth of the Gurdwara it will cater for all Sikhi needs for all ages.

On Friday 31st May:
From 10am to 4pm.
There will be external well experienced speakers who will conduct talks, workshops and discussion groups in both English and Punjabi. There will pizza, chips and beans langar...ohh and not forgetting that there will be a bouncy castle as well!!!

On Saturday 1st June:

From 9am to 6pm 
Coach trip...... yes a coach trip to Derby Sikh Museum! Can see Sikh heritage first hand, have talks and discussions around different Sikh artefacts. Did you know the museum contains one of the largest collections of Sikh artillery in the world - with a rare cannon from the time of Banda Singh Bahadur who created the first Khalsa Raj in 1709!!

If you wish to book yourself on the coach going to the Derby Sikh Museum - please email us your interest or turn up at the Gurdwara this weekend (Sunday 26th may) at 1130 and come to the small hall where Sikhi class will be taking place. There is no cost for booking your seat on the coach!!
