The RSYA held its first camp in Reading at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara. It was a day when the Sangat had the opportunity to learn about Sikhism philosophy and history in ENGLISH! Many thanks go out to Sikh Seva who camp and spread their Gyan (knowledge) with others. It was a great day and thanks to Maharaj Ji’s Kirpa, it went really well!
There was a Kirtan Darbar from 6pm until midnight which was fantastic. Many Sangat came from around the surrounding areas. It was the first of its kind in Reading and we will be doing many more of them. The only disappointment was the lack of local Sangat that attend the Kirtan Darbar in the evening, however, Maharaj Ji blessed his Sikhs and brought together many Chardi Kala (High Spirited) Sikhs from outside Reading to make it an awesome event. If you didn’t attend, trust us, you missed out!! But not to worry we will continue to do more and let the Sangat know about future events.

Thanks to Maharaj Ji's Kirpa the youngters really enjoyed the camp and activities
Class will take place on Saturday 8th November at 3pm until 4.30pm
It will be an introduction into what you will learn and the basics will be taught. Please wear comfortable clothes as you will be getting a proper workout! This is open to all, young and old, Sikh and non Sikh, boys and GIRLS!!
We also want to discuss times that will be more suitable for the students, Saturday is not the only day we can do it, and depending on what is convenient for you we will arrange the class accordingly.
The class will take place at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara on Cumberland Road, Reading.
Santhiya Class Thursdays 7 – 9pm
We have also started Santhiya classes. Santhiya is the learning of Gurbani, how to pronounces the words and the meanings explained. All levels are welcome, we already have many students, young and old, that are starting from the Punjabi alphabet. This class is amazing and you will learn from Gyani Ji who is from the Damdami Taksal.
These classes take place on Thursdays at 7pm until 9pm. Bring and pen and paper with you! All people from all age groups and backgrounds are welcome! Again classes take place at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara, Reading.
