Sikhi Workshops at Reading Gurdwara
Reading Gurdwara Workshops
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh,
On Saturday November 15th Reading Gurdwara will be a day of Sikhi workshops!
The workshops will be conducted by the Bhai Manvir Singh and Co. who speak in English so that the younger Sangat can understand fully what is being said.
Sri Guru Singh Sabha
30a Cumberland Road,
Reading,
Berkshire
RG1 3LB
This is a fantastic opportunity to really learn, appreciate and enjoy the wealth that is Sikhi. The workshops will be held throughout the day so that everyone and anyone can benefit. They start at 10am and will be going on continuously until 5pm, so come when you can, ideally for the whole day lol.
More details will follow but please note this important date in your diary. Let your friends and relatives know too.
'Use this chance to take a permanent hold of Guru Ji’s hand; it may be your last'
It would be amazing to see you there at the workshops on the date specified. Even coming down just a couple of hours is good enough!!!
The camp will cover the core principles of Sikhism; it will allow you to ask ANY questions you have on Sikhism that you may have, and all in English!!!!!!! It is better than asking Gianis/ Granthis where we become more confused after hearing their answer than when we went to ask them the question!! Lol
We ALL are not too sure of the fundamentals of Sikhism, let us become Sikhs (a learner); by learning about the Truth of God and Sikhism we can ONLY then call ourselves Sikhs.
If you have any questions please email back or call.
TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!
For the Youth: YOU ARE THE FUTURE – DISCOVER YOUR SIKHI
Also Sevadars are required so please get in contact if you can help out!

Reading Sikh Youth Association (RSYA)
Who are we?
We are a group of Youngsters that want to do something to spread the word about Sikhi.
What is our mission?
Getting the younger generation involved in Sikhi, giving them a platform to learn and educate themselves in Sikhi.
What are our objectives?
- Promoting Sikhi within the Youth through events and talks (in English).
- Getting the Youth involved in Sikh matters such as the Gurdwara Committee.
- Creating a Youth Sangat where everyone feels welcome.
- Promoting Seva amongst the younger generation by holding events at the Gurdwara – education of how important Seva anywhere (not just in the Gurdwara) is.
Why are we doing this/Why are we needed?
We are seeing too many of our younger brothers and sisters walk away from Guru Ji’s path and we want to promote the true path. The most common excuses that are rife amongst the Youth are: 1) They don’t understand Punjabi therefore don’t know what Guru Ji is telling them and 2) They can’t relate to the older generation when trying to learn about Sikhi.
We are a group made up of the Youth and can connect with our brothers and sisters. We just want them to experience what we have and continue to experience and with Guru Ji’s Kirpa they will.
